My dogs, Riggsley and Lorna, both have their own dog Christmas Stockings. They are black with a white cuff and white paw prints all over the stockings. Riggsley and Lorna both know that the Christmas Stockings belong to them and can’t wait to see what Santa will bring them this year. Last year they were happy to find all kinds of rawhide bones and toys inside their stockings. Of course dogs being dogs, their toys do not last that long. They spend hours blissfully chewing their toys to death so that they have to be removed from them and put out with the trash. Each year Lorna is dressed up in little Christmas outfits for she is a small Jack Russell Terrier. Riggsley has a red polo shirt to wear but my daughter does not like how it looks on him since he is a huge 120lb German Shepherd! But of course, Lorna does look adorable. As I ponder to what gifts will be in included in the small dog Christmas stockings this year, I am very grateful that they are healthy and continue to be an important part of my family!
