It was the hardest thing for me to do in my life till now. While I was working as an Operations Manager with one of the multinational companies, I was made to take a drastic decision of terminating an executive. As I had known the difficulties that this employee had been facing and the liabilities that he had, it was really difficult for me to agree to the decision taken by other senior members of the organization. But eventually I had to terminate that employee because if I didn’t do that, my job would have been at stake. I prayed to the almighty to give me the strength to speak to this employee and tell him that he is no longer a part of this company and needs to find another job to take care of his family. This was the only time I had faced this sort of a scenario. I guess God listened to my prayers and I could inform him that he has been terminated from his services. I dealt with this difficult situation that was the hardest thing for me to do by finding another alternative for him and he joined the new organization and thanked me for the same.
