Granny is my pet. Or rather, Granny is my roommate Allison’s pet, but since they both live with me, it feels like Granny is also my pet. Granny is a lovable English bulldog, but she could use some training. She jumps on people all the time, she barks at anyone she doesn’t recognize when they come in our house or leave our house, sometimes she even barks at people she knows and lives with. Worst of all, Granny has recently started pooping in the house. It’s mostly downstairs, in the basement, in the same place every time. To try to stop this, we put wooden dog gates on the stairs when we were gone during the day, so she could not go downstairs and poop there. This seemed to work, because these gates have prevented her from going downstairs and she has not pooped upstairs.
